Queen of the Crows

Witten and directed by Harmony Wagner, Queen of the Crows peers into the life of artisan Claire, who fights to keep eleven year old Elsa from being swallowed up by the mental health system – with the help of 30,000 neighbourhood crows.

This eleven minute drama utilizes the captivating beauty of Charlottetown’s massive local crow population to add stunning visuals and sounds to a heartfelt story of family challenge and triumph.

Winner of the 2012 CBC PEI 3-2-1 Award, the short premiered at the 2013 Island Media Arts Festival. One of the 72 shorts in the Atlantic Film Festival’s Atlantic Focus program, Queen of the Crows was one of nine films selected for the CBC Atlantic Shorts Gala on September 15 at Park Lane Cinemas, with an encore screening on September 19.

BunnyBop! – From the creator of the Big Comfy Couch comes our  preschool webseries BunnyBop!

bunniesThe series invites little people and their caregivers to enjoy watching wee ones dressed in bunny suits being busy bunnies – playing and learning and – yes – hopping.

Content also includes songs, healthy snacking, Baby Signs and Baby Yoga.

And because everybunny loves a story, each webisode features a charming Bunny Tale starring the very bouncy Buddy Bunny – a puppet pal with a penchant for carrots.

SHORT FILMS:

Lucky 7 – A comedy about an office lotto pool gone horribly wrong, Lucky 7 was winner of the inaugural 2010 CBC 3-2-1 Award for PEI. Written and directed by Jason Rogerson and produced by Harmony Wagner, it was broadcast on CBC Download (Season 2 – Episode 10).  The short screened at the Atlantic Film Festival and Silver Wave Film Festival.

 

Vast – A young teen wakes up to discover he is the last person on earth.  But is he alone?  Written, directed and produced by Harmony Wagner, Vast was voted Viewer’s Choice at the 2011 Island Media Arts Festival. Chosen for the CBC Atlantic Shorts Gala at the Atlantic Film Festival, the short also played at the Silver Wave Festival in Fredericton.

 

The Way We Do’er – This music video for the comedy band Boxcar Dan and the Vagabond Strangers, directed by Jason Rogerson, was nominated for Best Music Video at the 2011 Music PEI Awards.  The Way We Do’er – Boxcar Dan and the Vagabond Strangers
